ABOUT THE GROUP

At the age of 20, Mr. Jagdishprasad Jhabarmal Tibrewala arrived in Mumbai with a big dream. He swiftly launched businesses in Textiles, Steel, and Food Colors, showcasing not only entrepreneurial promise but also a strong commitment to philanthropy. He emphasized that building relationships was as important as building businesses, leaving behind a legacy that values the impact on people’s lives as much as profits.

This legacy forms the cornerstone of the JJT Group, which has evolved into a conglomerate with a global footprint. With diverse businesses encompassing food colors, food ingredients, renewable energy, and financial markets, JJT Group operates in over 20 countries with more than 2,000 employees worldwide.

The group’s flagship, Roha Dyechem Pvt. Ltd., is a world leader in food color production, with a history dating back to 1972 when it started as a small office in India. Today, Roha boasts a presence in over 22 countries, 14 application labs, and 14 manufacturing units, offering synthetic and natural products for a wide range of applications, including food and beverages, pet food, animal feed, cosmetics, and industrial use.

Roha’s transformation from a small startup in 1972 to a global color-producing powerhouse is a testament to the company’s vision of not only impacting the industries it serves but also the people it engages with.

While Roha Dyechem is the largest entity within the group, other companies like Wellworth, a dynamic trading company with a high CRISIL rating, play equally significant roles. For nearly a decade, Roha Energy has been making a name for itself in the clean energy sector, starting with a 7.5 MW wind energy plant in Maharashtra and expanding to a 25 MW solar energy plant in Gujarat in 2012. Roha Energy isn’t just an entrepreneurial venture but also reflects the group’s forward-thinking commitment to the planet and ecological balance.
